Material
Advanced composite.

Creative and Innovative thinking has led to the development of resin infusion construction methodologies that allow us to produce components and assemble large yachts faster and to a far higher standard than previously achieved. This has led to reduced delivery dates and overall costs. Additional benefits are less fairing and finishing times which has a significant impact on weight and speed.
Steel.

Our shipyard has a heritage of building large steel vessels up to 2000 tonne over the past 50 years. Many of the boiler makers and certified steel welders remain and their expertise in the craft of steel vessel construction is second to none. Coupled with precision cut and formed steel packets from Donovan allows us to efficiently construct steel modules to high deviation standards and to class. The most notable steel build of late was a 47 meter motor yacht with an ice class hull launched in 2007.
Alloy.
Again creative thinking has allowed us to speed up alloy construction significantly through the use of innovative materials such as friction welded panels up to 12 meter in length. Perfect seams with no distortion and precut accesses have reduced overall construction, fairing and finishing times.
