Technical
An old hot rod term aptly describes the engine choice, there is no replacement for displacement when you need speed. We have specified twin MTU 16V 4000 through conventional drives to propel the NZY 50 up to 28 knots with a little more in reserve on a light ship if required. Although these speeds will not be fully utilized most of the time, it is comforting to know it is there when required for real emergencies or not so real emergencies such as being late for a prior engagement.
The hull has a near vertical fine entry bow to increase waterline length to increase efficiency and the transition to a shallow draft will allow access into your favorite anchorage. Although we have a shallow draft we have maintained enough hull emersion to deliver excellent sea keeping and directional stability on extended voyages or crossings. Stabilizers are standard equipment for at anchor and at speed so comfort is assured for the fair weathered sailors.
Engineering
All engineering will have a class certificate and is designed for ease of maintenance and access. All pipes will be of lightweight material that will not corrode and can be easily replaced or repaired in the unlikely event of failure. Each component is built and installed to the highest quality, taking into consideration access, vibration, noise, corrosion, maintenance and removal to ensure a trouble free technically revered yacht.
All supplied equipment is chosen for its quality, reliability, reputation and world wide support so rest assured your yacht no matter the location will have immediate professional service. A Furuno glass bridge and Cervina AMS systems will provide safe and trouble free bridge operation.
